You're racing down State Street in Schenectady trying to get to Wedekind Motors before we close.
It's the holiday season, and your plate is full. You just need to find an affordable used car to replace your current one before a long trip to visit relatives.
Then, some jerk cuts you off at the light.
Everything flashes red, and before you know it an uncharacteristically aggressive string of expletives is exploding from your mouth. You strongly consider rear-ending them just to make a point.
You don't, of course. You're a rational person. Usually you wouldn't get so worked up.
That's the holidays for you-- a slow build-up of stress until you explode.
In fact, according to a 2013 survey, 65 percent of drivers like you have to deal with aggressive behavior on the road-- like being cut off or tailgated-- more than six times in the months surrounding Christmas.
On top of that, 90 percent of drivers admitted to feeling road rage at times.
What can you do?
Try to get enough sleep, and remember to let bad driving behavior go. We all make mistakes sometimes, and it's never worth a confrontation or an accident.
